Cleantech

What is Cleantech?

Cleantech refers to innovative technologies, solutions, and practices that tackle climate and natural resource related challenges. Wy’East is prioritizing initiatives in this expanding field, ensuring that rural communities in the Pacific Northwest benefit from cleantech development and the jobs that come alongside this emerging market.

Wy’East and partner organizations are currently managing several programs and projects in the cleantech space. Active programs include E-Farms, bringing electrified agricultural equipment to rural farmers, and the climate smart irrigation efficiency work Wy’East is undertaking on behalf of USDA NRCS National Technical Team and Energy Trust of Oregon. These projects are exploring technologies and practices within a rural context as well as engaging in market transformation that will allow for new economic benefits to flow to our rural communities and businesses.
