SAVE WATER

SAVE ENERGY

REDUCE EMISSIONS

This effort is supported by US Department of Agriculture Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS)

Building on over 20 years of experience in both irrigation efficiency and energy conservation, Wy’East has set out to demonstrate how irrigation efficiency improvements can result in greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reductions. Irrigated croplands account for 58 million acres in the United States (USDA 2017 Census of Agriculture) with worsening drought conditions, every drop matters that much more for our Pacific Northwest producers. This project will hopefully support further federal irrigation funding yielding water savings on-farm while reducing energy consumption, and lowering emissions contributing to a cleaner future for agriculture.
