Jackie was born and raised in Portland, OR and grew up in NE Portland. She went to the University of Oregon and graduated in Spring 2024 with a B.S. in Environmental Studies and a minor in Food Studies. During Jackie’s time at the University of Oregon she became passionate about climate change issues, conservation, food, and agriculture. Last summer Jackie got an internship at the St. Johns Center for Opportunity, a non-profit that operates the St. Johns Farmers Market in Portland, OR. Jackie is currently a RARE (Resource Assistance for Rural Environments) AmeriCorps fellow working at Wy'East RC&D as the Rural Energy Specialist to assist applicants in compiling REAP grants. She enjoys spending time with friends, cooking, cats, making jewelry, and meeting new people.
